Calvary Bible has a “Red Eye Night” with Anchor Baptist

We had a great night with our friends form Anchor Baptist Church.  The teens stayed up all night and participated in games, skits and swimming.  We had a great time in competition with the folks from Anchor.  A special thanks to Paul and Tina Johnson for all their hard work.  We had a great time.

Pastor Stacey Alan Wilder will become Senior Pastor Of Calvary Bible Church Jan 1, 2013

My family Wilder Familyand I are looking forward to the new opportunities that God will bring to our way in 2013.  I have been serving God as the assistant pastor  for 22 years. I  am humbled that God is allowing me to serve in this new position of Senior Pastor.   We are excited  to see how God will bless Calvary Bible Church in the days ahead. We need and will continue to need your prayers. The church theme for 2013 will come from Jude 1:22, “And of some have compassion, making a difference.”  We truly hope that God allows us to make a difference in the lives of many people.  As a church family, we need to give and receive compassion.  Let’s do our part to invest in the lives of others and see what God will do with that investment!  Having compassion makes a difference.  Thank you for the opportunity.  Please pray.

Calvary Bible Academy Christmas Program

Calvary Bible Academy students perform “Amazing Grace” three times this week.  The students did a great job.  They performed for the Timbers, Calvary Bible Church, and Anchor Baptist Church.  Four people indicated that they trusted Christ as their Saviour.  Amy Symonds and Candy Cavinass did a wonderful job directing the students.  Thanks to all those who had a part.

Mike Jewell Gets on Kindle Book Reader

I would like to announce that all three of my books in the “Old Sodus” series are now available for your Kindle reader. Just click on the icons and it will take you directly to the website or go to Amazon.com and scroll down to the Kindle Store category and type in “Old Sodus”. Each book has a “look inside” feature so you can peruse the contents. The price is $5.95 each and you can be reading it in minutes. Also, it is still available in paperback for $12.95 each.
I have taken a hiatus from the OS series to work on a historical fiction novel which I am in the final stages of writing and editing. I will then concentrate on Volume 4 of the OS series of which I am well into having it half written. I have plenty of material and in fact, I must decide which is best left for a Volume 5. I hope everyone can “take a read” on these books, especially with the new Kindle option. Their purpose is to honor Christ and provide an alternative to some of the stuff that is out there. Thanks.
